Manages church property, logistics, prepares for services, assists with baptisms, and organizes offerings.
Kim Rowe
Head Deaconess
Supports physical and logistical needs, cares for the sick, prepares communion, and organizes hospitality events.
Kate Whyatt
Church Clerk
Maintains records, membership rolls, meeting minutes, and handles church correspondence.
Alex Medina
AV Coordinator
Operates audio-visual equipment for services and events, ensuring clear communication in-person and online.
Bek Bolderac
Bulletin Editor
Produces the weekly church bulletin with announcements, service order, and important information.
Ben Shea
Digital Ministry
Manages the church’s online presence, IT infrastructure, accounts, licensing and supports digital communications.
Our History
The history of the Kingaroy Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church can be summarized in three main points:

Early Beginnings (1910 – 1945)
The origins of our church date back to 1910 when evangelist Pastor Hubbard arrived in the area and started a Bible study group in his home. This group gradually grew, and by 1945, the Kingaroy SDA Church was officially organized.

Building and Expansion (1945 – 1980s)
Initially, church members met in various homes and community buildings. Eventually, we purchased property and built the first church building, along with a hall and a school (which has since closed). As our congregation continued to grow, we moved to their current campus in the 1980s.

Community and Growth (1980s – Present)
Our church has always emphasised mission and community service. Notable recent initiatives include significant contributions to local drought relief, providing over AU$30,000 to support struggling farmers. The church celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2020, reflecting on its history and achievements while planning for future growth and service.

Today, the SDA Church family in Australia is made up of 64,000+ baptized members, united by a shared mission to make a positive impact. Through their dedication, the church has become a cornerstone of community life, offering opportunities for worship, fellowship, and meaningful service.
Beyond the pews, the church’s influence extends into education and healthcare, with 70+ institutions, including renowned facilities like Avondale University College and the Sydney Adventist Hospital. These institutions embody the Adventist commitment to holistic well-being, empowering individuals to thrive both physically and spiritually.
With over 100 years of history, the SDA Church has been an enduring force for good, adapting to the challenges of each new era while staying true to its core values. Through its programs and outreach, the church touches the lives
of millions, contributing to the well-being of the 26.6 million Australians it serves.
